The AA-1C and Traveler have several more square feet of elevator surface forward of the hinge point that aerodynamically amplifies control input. The trim tab is servo-ed to travel much more then the elevator, amplifying the elevator effective travel. This makes for a much more non-linier control "feel" then on the AA-1-1B or the AA-5A,B.
